The possibilities in 3D printing

Which 3D printing processes are available? When is which process used? What needs to be taken into account when creating a data set that is then to be printed? And what is actually feasible?

During a visit to 1zu1 Prototypen GmbH in Dornbirn, which is dedicated to prototyping, manufacturing and tooling, we at Struppler Industriedesign asked exactly these questions and got some answers. To the last question, the answer in advance – a lot!

The world of three-dimensional objects has become increasingly diverse in recent years. Permanently we experience new technologies, materials and fields of application. A clear assignment of problem and process is less and less possible. This makes it all the more important to have an experienced partner at your side who has the goal in mind and is very familiar with the technologies. 1zu1 prototypes advise, refine, manufacture and provide design support. After this day at 1zu1, we feel all the more confident that we have found a competent partner in this field.
